White Heat is a heist film noir movie, a police investigation thriller, a prison drama, and an undercover cop story all at once directed by Raoul. Gang leader Cody Jarrett (James Cagney) a psychopathic criminal with a mother complex planning heists but during a train robbery that goes wrong, cody shoots an investigator. H is "escape" through his imprisonment for a minor crime, the infidelities of his wife and an associate and the death of his mother make him a restless beast... The plot ends in an explosive finale where the hero remains standing in the ashes and debris of his glory...
