The man with the golden arm, 1955

Kim Novak in "The Man With The Golden Arm" (Otto Preminger, 1955) Great, engaging, thrilling story, well-directed by Otto Preminger that focuses on addiction to narcotics. Frank Sinatra and Kim Novak are on the set of this movie. The story is interesting and at times compelling, as Frankie ( Frank Sinatra ) struggles against himself and his circumstances.  By the way, what is the meaning of The Man with the Golden Arm? #blackandwhite #noir #movies #dramamovies     Similar Posts :  Key Largo , 1948  This Gun of Hire, 1942  The Asphalt Jungle, 1950  In the Lonely Place, 1950  Gene Tierney - Leading Lady Witness for the Prosecution, 1957  The Big Sleep , 1946 Where the Sidewalk Ends, 1950  The Big Heat, 1953 To Have and Have Not, 1944 Double Indemnity , 1944  The Night of the Hunter, 1955 Eraserhead, 1977  Humphrey Bogart the tough guy  Fallen Angel , 1945  The Killing , 1956  T he Thin Man, 1934  S...

Eraserhead (David Lynch, 1977)

This film - in the history of cinema - is unique in its genre and it has created a fantastic universe of paranoia and allegory.  Jack Nance as Henry Spencer lives a nightmare created by the negative emotions, phobias and thoughts that a father may have about his unborn child.  A dystopian industrial environment enhances the emotional tension, the agony and the horror in the mind of the protagonist and the viewer...  Could - any of you - mention some key symbolism in the film?  Can anyone list the key allegories and messages?  #davidlynch #movies #strangefilms #cultmovies #horrormovies    Similar Posts :  Key Largo , 1948  This Gun of Hire, 1942  The Asphalt Jungle, 1950  In the Lonely Place, 1950  Gene Tierney - Leading Lady Witness for the Prosecution, 1957  The Big Sleep , 1946 Where the Sidewalk Ends, 1950  The Big Heat, 1953 To Have and Have Not, 1944 Double Indemnity , 1944  The Night of the Hunt...

Fallen Angel (1945) Fallen Angel is a 1945 American film noir directed by Otto Preminger. A year on from their successful collaboration on Laura (1944), actor Dana Andrews and director Otto Preminger team up to deliver another top notch film noir. The Asphalt Jungle ( 1950 )

The Asphalt Jungle ( 1950 ) This is one of the first - and best of course - heist movies. John Huston directed a masterpiece starring the unsurpassed stars Sterling Hayden and Louis Calhern! The film takes us on a journey to the underworld of America in the 50's and keeps us anxious and concerned until the end. The presence of  Marilyn Monroe   gives an extra charm and an extra interest for the male audience.😎   Similar Posts :  Key Largo , 1948  This Gun of Hire, 1942 In the Lonely Place, 1950  Gene Tierney - Leading Lady Witness for the Prosecution, 1957  The Big Sleep , 1946 Where the Sidewalk Ends, 1950  The Big Heat, 1953 To Have and Have Not, 1944 Double Indemnity , 1944  The Night of the Hunter, 1955   The Man with the Golden Arm, 1955 Eraserhead, 1977  Humphrey Bogart the tough guy  Fallen Angel , 1945  The Killing , 1956  T he Thin Man, 1934  Sunset Boulevard , 1950...
